A truly exceptional 19th-century French Louis XVI-style secrétaire, finely crafted in mahogany and richly adorned with gilt bronze mounts and hand-painted porcelain plaques. This rare writing desk is as much a work of art as it is a functional piece, showcasing the height of French decorative arts during the mid-to-late 1800s.

The upper cabinet features two oval porcelain medallions, delicately painted with floral arrangements in vibrant hues and framed by elegant ormolu garlands. Matching porcelain insets continue along the drawer fronts, bordered in turquoise and set against the warmth of the mahogany veneer.

The design includes two side display shelves, a central fall-front writing desk (likely concealing interior compartments), and five lower drawers for ample storage.
