Hunting Dogs | Hand-Painted Wooden Paperweight

A charming wooden paperweight decorated with a miniature sporting scene of two hunting dogs alert in the countryside. Muted greens, earthy browns, and finely suggested markings give the small painting a wonderfully atmospheric quality, framed by the warm wood beneath.

The subject recalls the sporting-art tradition of depicting working dogs in the field, celebrating their instinct, movement, and companionship. Its compact rectangular form makes it a lovely addition to a writing desk, a stack of correspondence, or a small collection of canine objects.
