Harvest Still Life with Pumpkin & Grapes — Oil on Copper

A beautifully detailed celebration of the harvest table, this oil painting gathers a cut pumpkin, trailing grapes, rounded fruit, and a pale blue-and-white vessel against a deep background. Curling vine tendrils rise above the arrangement, giving the compact composition a graceful vertical movement.

The brilliant orange flesh of the pumpkin forms the centerpiece, its exposed seeds and curved slice providing a lively contrast to the cool ceramic vessel. Small highlights across the grapes bring light into the darker passages, while the wooden tabletop grounds the abundant display.

Painted on copper, the work combines a smooth support with carefully articulated details. A signature is visible near the lower right, though its exact reading and the artist’s identity remain unconfirmed.

The reverse carries paper with handwritten Italian accounts, adding an intriguing detail to its framing history. Presented within a broad gold-toned inner surround and darker wooden outer molding, this piece would bring rich color and intimate detail to a kitchen, dining room, or library.
