French Advertising Pill Tin - Grains d'Evian Pilules de Sante

Sale price$45.00

A striking piece of French medical history, this petite pharmacy tin once held “Grains d’Évian – Pilules de Santé,” a popular patent medicine of the late 19th and early 20th century. Decorated in rich navy and gilt scrollwork with a central mythical griffin motif, the tin was designed to attract attention and inspire confidence in its remedies.

These tins were part of an era when packaging was both practical and highly decorative, with pharmacists and chemists commissioning ornate designs to set their products apart. Today, they stand as collectibles, blending the worlds of advertising, medicine, and decorative arts.
