1877 German Catholic Prayer Book with Embossed Gilt Binding

Published in Mönchengladbach, Germany, in 1877, Blüthen aus dem Paradiese der Kirche translates to “Blossoms from the Paradise of the Church.” This German-language Catholic prayer and devotional book features an elaborate dark binding with embossed scrollwork, gilt decorative bands, and a central cross.

Printed in traditional German blackletter, this eighteenth revised edition offers a lovely connection to 19th-century devotional life.
