1872 French “Paroissien Romain” Prayer Book with Brass Clasps

Published in Dijon by Antoine Maitre in 1872, this French Catholic prayer book contains services for Sundays and feast days, followed by texts for the celebration of saints. Its title, Paroissien Romain, identifies it as a parishioner’s book of worship following the Roman rite.

A dark textured binding, embossed cross, and decorative brass clasps give this small volume a quiet, enduring presence.
